RENEWABLE HEATING FROME
Renewable heating systems future proof your home from reliance on fossil fuels and provide an environmentally friendly renewable heating source. We design, install and repair both solar thermal installations and air source heat pumps (ASHPs). In addition, we can supply and fit underfloor heating that is powered by your ASHP for modern and efficient eco-friendly heating.
How do ASHPs work?
Air source heat pumps work by extracting heat from the air outside your home through a fan system. The liquid refrigerant fluid within the ASHP absorbs heat from the air. Next, the liquid refrigerant is passed through a compressor which raises the temperature. The heat from the ASHP is transferred into the central wet heating system or into the coil within the hot water cylinder.
Air Source Heat Pumps
We design and install, service and repair air source heat pumps for clients in Frome, Somerset and the surrounding region. We only fit heat pumps from reputable manufacturers for complete peace of mind. Benefits of ASHPs include:
- Reduced energy bills and carbon footprint.
- A space-saving compact external unit.
- Environmentally friendly heat source.
- Can assist with condensation reduction within the home.
- Low maintenance.
- The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) may assist with installation costs.
Modernise your central heating with the installation of energy-efficient underfloor heating. This innovative and contemporary central heating system works by pumping hot water from your wet central heating system through a network of pipes under the floor. As the pipes cover a large surface area, the heat rises from the floor for consistent heating from the floor up. We can install this type of heating system in a single room or an entire house. Solar thermal systems consist of specialist solar thermal panels that are fitted with solar collectors; a fluid-based system that absorbs heat from the sun. The heated fluid is then sent to a coil heat exchanger within the water cylinder which heats the water inside the hot water tank. Once the fluid releases its heat, it then flows back to the collectors and the process starts again.
Solar thermal heating systems are ideal for large properties or business premises that have high energy demands. We install, service and repair solar thermal systems, so get in touch to arrange a quote.
